Let's be real.

Every day, InterAct fights for the vulnerable people who come to us seeking safety, support, and a path forward.

We are acutely aware of the uncertainties that loom around federal grant funding—there are many answers that we don’t have.

Yet we are expanding our offerings to meet a growing need for therapeutic services, financial literacy training, and safe and stable housing.

Reality demands action.

You can offer real help as InterAct saves lives, rebuilds lives, and secures safer futures.

You can send a donation now, wait until the next fiscal year, make a pledge to pay later, or become a sustaining donor with gifts we can count on every month. You can help build a firm foundation no matter what the future holds.

To discuss options or make a pledge, please contact Walker Mabe, InterAct Chief Development Officer, at walkerm@interactofwake.org or (919) 865-1761.

Therapeutic services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault provide essential support, including counseling, crisis intervention, and trauma-focused therapy. These services help individuals heal from trauma, learn self-protection strategies, and regain strength to move forward and rebuild their lives.

InterAct’s PEEP program helps survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault achieve self-sufficiency. Services include job training, financial literacy, health education, and case management to support rebuilding lives and gaining independence.

At the Solace Center, survivors receive comprehensive care that includes forensic exams, emotional support, and legal advocacy. Our trained providers offer crisis counseling, case management, and coordinated services in a safe, supportive environment, ensuring a seamless path to healing and support.

Have questions? Contact us at “sexualassaultcenter@interactofwake.org.”

Sexual violence, which targets individuals of all genders and ages, encompasses any non-consensual sexual contact, ranging from verbal to physical coercion. Its prevalence is perpetuated by societal norms endorsing violence, power imbalances, and entrenched gender roles. Prevention necessitates unified efforts spanning communities, advocating for respect, safety, equality, and support across diverse settings.

We can stop sexual assault, harassment, and abuse before they happen.
